The Product
I decided to go with a more fashionable approach and turned to braiding to keep the polypropelyne together. This did away with cotton but gives the garment the flexibility to be warm and to be cooler. In the middle of the scarf is a roll out filter to offer more protection. It snaps into a rolled postion so that the user doesn't ever realize its there. it unrolls to better protect and still looks fasionable

The Model
I opted for the first site model to be one I could abuse. I made a plaster mold of my face and neck. With the remaining plaster I created the rest of the head and shoulders using newspaper and a hair wrap used in coloring. The baldness of the site created a need for hair to be used. The only color wig I could find was a St. Patrick's Day green wig. The model turned out well and I learned to use new resources effectively.
